Directions to the castle

The 563-katt castle hotel Taunus is located between Koblenz / Coblence and Wiesbaden and can be reached over the freeway A3, exit Limburg (about 22 km away from the hotel).

From Limburg (about 20 km away) the way leads over Diez Birlenbach (about 12 km away) and Schonborn (about 5 km away) to the destination town.

Parking
The castle hotel has an own parking lot. The about 40 parking lots are free of charge for hotel guest.

Train station, train connections
The next train station from the castle hotel is about 14 km away in Diez on the River Lahn. It is reachable by bus in about 35 minutes. There are train connections in direction Kassel over Limburg, Giessen and Marburg, to Frankfurt on the River Main and to Koblenz / Coblence with connection possibilities in direction Koln / Cologne, Frankfurt on the River Main and Trier from Diez.
A convenient traffic laid train station is about 28 km away from the castle hotel in St. Goarshausen on the River Rhine . It is reachable by bus in about 40 minutes. There are train connections in direction Koblenz / Coblence, Rudesheim and Wiesbaden with connection possibilities in direction Koln / Cologne, Frankfurt on the River Main and Trier from St. Goarshausen.

Bus connection St. Goarshausen on the River Rhine – Katzenelnbogen – Diez on the River Lahn
There are direct bus connections (without change) from Diez on the River Lahn to Katzenelnbogen (about 35 minutes to ride) and from Katzenelnbogen to St. Goarshausen on the River Rhine (about 40 minutes to ride). In the other direction there are about the same driving times. There are several busses which drive between the three towns from Monday to Friday. Please check at www.bahn.de at "international guests".
Below the castle hotel there is the bus stop Katzenelnbogen-Brucke (bridge) in the town center. The footpath to the castle hotel is in fact only about 150 meters long, but very steep. That is why it is not recommendable for hotel guests with heavy luggage. You have the possibility to get picked up from the hotel. Advanced notice is always necessary. That service is free of charge.
